Jan. 25, 2011, DANVILLE – Alexander Moya, M.D., assistant director of the cosmetics program at Geisinger Medical Center (GMC), was recently elected to active membership in the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS).
“I am very honored to be selected as a member of the ASAPS. Election to this prestigious organization required a significant amount of continuing medical education and clinical work,” Dr. Moya said. “Thank you to my peers for this very fulfilling recognition.”
Membership to the ASAPS is reserved for aesthetic surgeons who have distinguished themselves through advanced education and clinical focus in aesthetic plastic surgery.
ASAPS active membership is restricted to physicians certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, or certified in plastic surgery by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, who also meet other specific qualifications for continuing medical education and experience in aesthetic surgery.
